How the Civil Engineers’ Association of Kanyakumari(CEAK) was formed?
Great efforts were made to form an association for Civil Engineers. An Introductory meeting regarding this was held at Hotel Canan by few Engineers on the month of August 2013. In this Er. Raghavan participated on behalf of FACEAT.
The brain behind this meeting were mainly Er. Vedhananth, Er. Justin Paul & Er. Phelomin Balaster. Er.C.N.Raja was selected as the charter president.
On 19.9.2013 Er. C.N.Raja took the post as the charter President of Civil Engineers Association of Kanyakumari District at VIP Gym Hall. Er. C.N. Raja was installed by Er. Mohan Raj, FACEAT & P State president in the presence of Er. Ragavan & Er. Thayumanavan. Er. Philomin Balaster Das was inducted as Vice President, Er. K. Ganesh Kumar as Secretary, Er. A. Rajan as Treasurer, and Er. A. Velan as Joint Secretary. Er. P. Justin Paul, Er. K. Siva Gurunathan and Er. Y. Nixon Gnana Dhas were inducted as EC members.
This new Association was started with the help and support of Tirunelveli Civil Engineers Association.
It was decided that according to the General Body of CEAK, every year the Joint Secretary should be elected. The President, Vice-President, Secretary & Treasurer will be selected according to their seniority (Ladder System).
CEAK, by associating itself with FACEAT & P is considered to have lot of members in Asia.
